Being early is the easy part.
Legacy industries don't get transformed by capital alone. They get transformed by visionaries with unfair conviction, and investors willing to be early, specific, and patient in the right places.
We invest before it becomes consensus.
We write the first or second institutional check into companies whose markets are old, regulated, and physical — the ones that take longer to underwrite than a consumer app. By the time a category is obvious, the price already reflects it. Being early only pays if you are willing to be alone in the position.
We diagnose before we prescribe.
Platform programs solve for the average company, and no company is average. We work out which two or three things will actually determine your next eighteen months, then put named people against each one — and stay out of the way everywhere else.
We double down based on milestones, not time.
Follow-on capital is reserved against evidence, not the calendar and not the momentum of someone else's round. That means we can move fast when a company earns it — and say so plainly when it hasn't.
We stay selective on purpose.
Fewer than two new investments per investment professional a year is a constraint we impose on ourselves. It's what lets us know which customer is stalling and why, which hire is the real bottleneck, and which number in the model is doing all the work. When we take a board seat, we take it seriously — we're in the room between meetings, not just at them. Investors carrying thirty positions can only give you the average answer.
What we actually do.
The gap between a first check and a real company is four problems wide. We work all four with you.
The hires that shape the company, not just fill the org chart.
Go-to market guidance and access to key customers.
Finding what breaks the thesis before the market finds it.
Getting to the next round on your terms, not the market's.

“Your strategy advice, rolodex access and late-night encouragement have been critical to Gravitics' success.”

“We value the combination of experience, strategic thinking and pragmatism.”

“TVC got the market, but they got the engineering too — and that's rare. They're the partner you text for guidance long before the board meeting starts.”
From intro to term sheet.
We tell founders where they stand at every step. No ghosting, no fake process, no diligence theatre.
Whoever knows your space takes the call — often a partner, sometimes the specialist closest to the science. You leave knowing whether we are a fit.
Not a pass through the data room. We work to understand the business properly — where the real risk sits, and which parts of it we are willing to underwrite — with the experts from our network in the room.
IC runs with the whole team — not for consensus, but so everyone who will work with you has real exposure to the business. We lean in on why this works, or out on how it breaks. You get the argument in writing.
A yes with terms, or a no with reasons. Either way you get the work we did.
